Cuadrilla bought Elswick gas electricity generating engine and onshore gas reserves

At Elswick, onshore gas reserves are converted into electricity:
The Elswick site, which is located near Blackpool, was commissioned in July 1996. The site produces 1MW of power from a Cooper-Superior reciprocating gas engine.
Elswick is sited on top of company owned onshore gas reserves which provide the fuel source for the engine.

Warwick Energy, who own and operate a number of other generation sites throughout the UK, sold the Elswick site to Cuadrilla in Spring 2010.
